Cardboard Self Portrait Project

I chose to build a hinge out of cardboard. I chose this hinge to represent me becuase I see myself as adaptable and moveable. I built the hinge to 20x proportions. This hinge challenged me becuase I had to figure out how to make the moveable and rotating pieces that function. I enjoyed this project becuase it challenged me and my craftsmen skills.

Wooden Vehicle Project

This is my boat that I made for the wooden vehicle project. This sailboat could transport people or anything else you put on it. I chose to build a boat becuase I was interested the challenge of building a curved wooden hull. I made the hull by stacking pieces of wood then sanding them. I made the sail and mast by measuring and cutting the rods and fabric.

Final Still Life

This is the final version of my still life self portrait. I used color pencils. I learned alot and think I definitely used the skills I learned in future projects.
I really liked the freedom given and the oppurtuinity to describe myself through a still life.
